BOSTON FLOURISH 2025 SCHEDULE

We’ll explore four key topics shaping the future of Boston:

  • Migrant Care & Solidarity
How can we strengthen belonging across borders and backgrounds? This conversation centers the dignity and stories of new Bostonians and the communities welcoming them.

  • Next Gen Engagement
What does faith mean to a generation raised on pressure? Together, we’ll explore how churches and organizations can respond to Gen Z’s longing for authenticity, meaning, and mental well-being.

  • Trauma Healing
Boston’s youth and families are carrying unseen burdens. We’ll highlight the power of collaboration among social workers, educators, and faith communities to create pathways for healing.

  • Civic Action
Real change happens when everyday people step into leadership. This track focuses on equipping individuals and organizations to advocate for justice, shape policy, and foster civic participation across our city.

  • Migrant Care & Solidarity

    • We will be launching the Boston Immigrant Resource Dashboard (BIRD), demoing and onboarding providers to BIRD, celebrating the journey, and offering a “know the facts” session so pastors and organizational leaders can understand current immigration realities to come alongside immigrants effectively.

  • Next Gen Engagement

    • In our first session, we’ll dig into the reality of generational precarity—why life feels so uncertain for so many young adults—and hear fresh insights on how that impacts faith, identity, and belonging. It’ll be a relaxed, honest conversation with space to listen, reflect, and dream about how the Church can show up differently.

  • Trauma Healing

    • In our first session, we’ll explore the reality of youth and family trauma—how the scars we can’t always see still shape lives, relationships, and communities. The lasting effects of trauma don’t stay hidden, and together we’ll unpack how it impacts faith, identity, and belonging. In the morning, we’ll hear from leaders on the front lines doing the work of healing and restoration. Then, in the afternoon, we’ll experience different practices and approaches that help young people and families begin their journey toward care and wholeness. This is a space where you will be inspired and engage in learning with practical application.

  • Civic Action

    • Join Justin Giboney as he unpacks the And Campaigns Compassion and Conviction framework through the 10 Civic Disciplines. These are 10 habits that Christians can commit to that combat tribalism and lead to a more biblical and compassionate civic discourse.

12:15 PM-12:30 PM  |  Break - Transition

12:30 PM-1:30 PM    |  Lunch

1:30 PM-1:45 PM      |  Break - Transition

1:45 PM-3:15 PM      |  Breakout Sessions - 2

  • Migrant Care & Solidarity

    • We will be highlighting resources and collaborative opportunities to come alongside our immigrant neighbors, celebrating immigrant stories, engaging in a Q & A, and prayer.

  • Next Gen Engagement

    • In the second session, we’ll turn those insights into action by planning a creative response to generational precarity through quarterly citywide gatherings for young adults. Expect an energetic, collaborative vibe as we imagine what these gatherings could look like—designing spaces that are real, rooted, and life-giving for Boston’s next generation.

  • Trauma Healing

    • Join Colleen Sharka, MA, LMHC, a licensed mental health counselor and the Director of Replication & Trauma Education for the Roxbury Presbyterian Church Social Impact Center in Boston, MA.  She co-founded Can We Talk…® Community Sharing on Trauma & Healing with Rev. Liz Walker, a nationwide collective of 16 sites addressing the epidemic of post-traumatic stress and grief through the healing power of sharing personal stories.  She has created a spiritually integrated trauma education curriculum that is offered in many formats to the community at large, nonprofit organizations, first responders, healthcare workers, and those who identify as caregivers.

  • Civic Action

    • What would it look like for the church to live out the compassion and conviction framework together in a local context? How can we identify the issues facing our communities and apply biblical principles that lead to just, compassionate, and nonpartisan action for the good of our neighbors—while uniting the church in the process? Join us as we explore how an AND Campaign chapter could be a step toward bringing this vision to life.
